Reflections by Fidel Castro

I am a news junkie. I have recently bought a new mobile phone and it has newspapers on it that I read assiduously. I love news and I love this way to read stories from many newspapers throughout the USA, Canada, UK, and France. And I love conspiracy theories, stories about ufo's, and other true life mysteries, so I belong to a group called Abovetopsecret which is a forum for all kinds of interesting stories...Tonight one is on a story by Fidel Castro in which he writes a journal called Reflections...He has stated that he believes what would happen to the world in case the USA and Iran and Israel and other allies get into war. He appears to be trying to inform his own comrades in Cuba how to handle this particular problem which will impactthe entire world with food shortages and serious economic reprisals.

The other story alongside that is one about the number of ships that are now being deployed and are surrounding the landlocked nation of Iran. Apparently, many believe that an effort by Israel to strike Iran because of its possible nuclear capabilities is likely to happen within weeks. However, another member posted a list of the various ships in the US Navy and their activities so that rather than warmongering it may be muscle posturing, hoping to get into a position of strength to show Iran that it must come under the UN's mandates or else syndrome. Iran did back out of escorting ships to Gaza because of the fear that the US Navy or Marines might board a ship.

So this is a show of might but many fear that it may lead to retaliation and nuclear warfare. It appears that Castro believes that it will lead to nuclear warfare and most of the members responding to his statements are backing him more than criticizing him.

IMHO, I believe that the USA along with other nations, including Britain, and France, and Russia backing out of the plan to aid and assist plan in some request exercised by the Iranians, means that Iran is being pushed into complying with the UN in stopping its nuclear development.

Most fear that all this excessive amount of force in the region means war, but another newbie member put up a list of ships and their activities so that it looks like maneuvering to show extreme muscle and readiness in case of emergency need. I daresay all this will pass without nuclear war for the time being...someone has suggested that a war would get Barack Obama reelected as no president has not been reelected in time of war...pity that, huh? All wars are created just to retain a president...ridiculous but possible.

At any rate, He can always be a first that way as well...I don't think he has a chance of getting himself re-elected even if he had three wars going at one time...

I am pushing for the idea that the timeliness of the Queen at the UN with her grandson in tow and the show of force are a combination to show the world who is really bossing the world around anyway...

I figure we will have a peaceful resolution to this before very long while mother nature throws another monkey wrench into the works to prove that man is still mighty weak and impotent alongside the real forces of nature...

Let us hope that all the doomsayers are wrong and that peace breaks out all over and stays around for a while...but in the meantime for those who joined the navy and the marines to see the world, how exciting that they get to watch the waters move beneath their mighty ships as they sail from port to port...Join the Navy! See the world! oh how good it is to get back home again! The world was not so great after all...but at least it didn't cost me anything for this free ride...sayeth sailor boy. NO, it only cost the taxpayers!

War is far too expensive...no bodybags please.

Learning from Authors

I have been reading a new novel by Judge Deveraux whose sound advice about writing has finally given me a bit of hope. This novel was found in the laundry room and because it is a subject close to my own interest level in the past few years I am taking time to digest what this crazy woman has to say...she is a woman who is a romance writer and who has come in contact with a clairvoyant who has told her that she has had past lifetimes, so through this authoress I am learning how to keep notes and write them for my own works..that is how I happened upon this blog because I just went to free journals to see what is available and how they operate...

The name of the book is Remembrance, and is about a woman who is seeking true love, (what else would a romance writer be longing to find anyway), and in the process, has unearthed the fact that she has lived before, and has had a true love in a former life. The plot is pretty simple so far, and I am learning from her how she writes and keeps her notes, which I think is very interesting and smart to do.

I have done that in my own way, never realizing that I could go even further. I admit to being very jealous and selfish with my writings as I do not want them to be stolen away from me so I do not know exactly yet how this blogger system works...If it all goes public or has a place for privacy. I use Live Journal which I had intended to use until I decided to see which other journals might be available and decided to try this one for the heck of it.

At Live Journal I can select a private button so nobody else can read that particular piece whenever I choose to emote about some idea or topic that deserves to be kept secret.

For now, though, the idea is that she writes her notes and keeps them so that at the end she can bring them all together for her great novel..I had been tendering the idea of a houseplan as the best means of putting this book together, but because of Devereaux I am going to try to find a way to keep notes for a book in a place where I can access them.

My first time at blogger so I will see how this will work.
