Mobile Phone

Nothing angers me more than when there are conflicting edits on this blog. There was no good reason for that. I am explaining why I have placed the two videos on this blogsite now. One, the first one about a ufo seen in a live news show from Libya was posted on ATS on my cell phone, but when I went to the ATS site to find it there, they did not seem to know of it. I found it at Youtube and am posting it, and wonder what is wrong with ATS anyway. The second which is a ufo sighting in Hawaii considered to be the most watched video is remarkable in that it reminds me of the large round light that I saw in the sky from the back parking lot some time ago. When it goes into a vertical descent, it looks similar to what the one that I saw do, as it seemed to spin smaller spheres of light that went into a descent while traveling west. I did not call it a ufo at the time, but it does remind me of this video. Let us see if we can post this one now.

Apartment Hunting

My lease is up on my apartment at the end of May so I am having to find a place to live that will accommodate both me and my kitten. I also need a better price on an apartment as I am paying too much for this and getting too little for it. So I found this possibility through the rental magazines and decided to follow up on the web to see what else I could learn about it. It has a few disadvantages but a lot of advantages as it advertises free pet rent and pet garden area. That would suit me just fine. And it is less expensive than the present place where I am paying too much.

I just checked out all my blogs again, and hopefully, Peter's blog will remain intact. I did see another entry about the Ritz Hotel experience which he had already mentioned. I Love PARIS blog told about the Marie Antoinette bedroom and had beautiful photos to accompany that story of the same trip for the bloggers who are considered the best in Paris.

I have a lot to learn about blogging. I have a lot to learn about computers period. And I want to get a new one asap. Always something to get.

I did learn also about adsense and google's methods of helping one to write a blog to earn a little extra money on the side. I have decided that when I do that I will certainly have a pseudonym, a definite one idea only theme, and not use it as a journal as I tend to do with this one. I am actually following my dear diary program for the most part, and still wonder what on earth ever happened that that disappeared out of sight totally.

I took it personally as I fear that maybe some of my comments probably may have frightened people a bit. Anyone who believes that someone is truly psychic and may know what they are talking about would certainly be afraid of me at times.

I did notice that Rue du Charonne is an old steet dating from the Grand Siecle period. It fascinated me that Peter wrote about that area and photographed so many interesting sites along one single street. That was a fun trip. I saw the Faubourg/Bastille combination along with Charonne so that made me stop and think a bit. I often say that my name is plastered all over France and Paris...seems to be true, more so than I thought. I had noticed a street by the name of Faubin at one storyline that he had, and I found that most interesting. It makes me wonder how my name came to be anyway as I have always heard so many different stories about it.

I hope that maybe sometime I can spend a few months in Paris and tour all of France. There is a tour coming up in October that I am interested in, but I am not holding my breath yet. I still have to find the money it takes to make these trips.

So I did hit one of Peter's ads that was for Phoenix area and had a chance to chat with a saleslady there. Patio furnishings. All one has to do to earn money is to have a follower or reader just hit the ad. That gives you a bit of the profit that Google makes for it too. I did not talk about it when I commented on the Rue du Charonne trip. I am doing that here.

I will certainly learn to write blogs for sales, especially travel, and hotels, etc. Then I will use adsense to see how it works also. I can see many blogs that would earn money if one would monetize. Cooking, travel, hobbies, golfing, fishing, all kinds of things. One just has to know how to get started and how to grow.

Even apartment hunting could be a good blog. Interviews with people who have lived in apartments for years might be interesting. Some have lived in this apartment building for years and have watched management change time and again. One wonders why it is that they stay here because these are not luxury apartments in the sense that more contemporary apartments are. I think it is security that keeps people from moving to other apartments. Once they build their own little nest, they cannot free themselve from their habit and habitat.

All for now...gotta close now.

Elizabeth Taylor

At 1:28 this morning, Elizabeth Taylor passed away. It is interesting to see how the various entertainment channels are discussing her legendary status. I am noticing a lot of things, one most pertinent is that a recent question about a bad date from Leah Marie Brown, which I did not respond to, came to remind me of when Liz Taylor had been used as a cover for the really bad date that my neighbor Lynn had fixed me up with when I was living back in Los Angeles. Her death also reminded me of Elaine Bruno through court reporting experience when Liz had tagged me as Liz in our role playing days! Seeing that MSNBC has somehow or other tied it in to my number's up game using her age and famous dates also made an impact on me. I see that they are calling her Mother Hollywood in some places, but the Diana in Heaven Parody and the Queen parody on Tweeter are discussing her death in ways that is very insulting and entertaining at one and the same time. Seems she is in Heaven discovering all the places where the diamonds are hidden, reminding me that I can still sell my diamonds if I wish. I will be interested in what Carol Burnett does have to say about this. I just won't write friend and neighbor Diane as I talked to an old friend and neighbor Janet today who is now in Laughlin having fun at the gaming tables.

Another Hollywood legend passes away, and what we the fans who have watched them have ot say never really matters much, but I did say condolences on a Tweet and then learned that one can go to her Facebook pages to say condolences there too. She has many fans and friends who wish to make their sympathies known, making me recall the small poster that I used in my classroom. When one passes, how many friends does one really have at the time of your funeral is a way to measure a man...that is so much nonsense also, but it is true that if you are of a certain type legendary status in your community, having reached fame's heights, you will attract crowds of people regardless of your real closeness to any of them. That is whether teacher, bartender, or whatever social standing you have finally achieved.

So I expect the entertainment industry will have all kinds of memories about Liz being extolled on the talk shows as usual where everyone will come in to remember when they had a connection to her.

One of her facebook pages had Marilyn Monroe and Goldie Hawn listed there also. Ridiculous as to how the gossip pages liked to have Liz complain about MM getting all the publicity. For stars, publicity is catnip and achievement. Nobody can be a real star without being discussed constantly ad nauseum. Amazing that she will not be around to see Kate and William tie the knot, being from England as such, but always reigning as the real Queen of Hollywood for so long.

I browsed MSNBC's gallery of photos about her life. She had married quite a lot of men and seems to have never found true happiness in her life with any of them except for the short haul. I think that marriage is often that way...the expectation is too great to ever achieve so that all are disappointed in Happy ever aftering, as there is no such thing in knowing what happiness ever aftering really is anyway. Some say he isn't happy unless he is grumbling about something, so if you can't make him grumble, he ain't happy.

Oh well, long live the legend of Liz now. She will be a great profitmaker for all the doll companies and publication firms also. Move over, Marilyn, here comes Liz now! I just can't get too sentimental about this. Diane, who is a former nurse, once said that often Death is a friend. I am hoping that for all Liz's notoriety, that her passing into the spiritual life has its rewards for her. All her fans can say is that she was extremely photogenically beautiful, gave some great performances, (I always liked her in Butterfield 8 and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), and was fun and charming when she united with Carol Burnett for a television show. I think of Joan Collin's book Emerald also as its character often made me think of Liz Taylor. She certainly kept MGM in the money for years, as stars are supposed to do. Only one director really ever was cause for success of a movie, and that was Alfred Hitchcock. It is the STAR, baby, not the director. Elizabeth alone had the ability to draw big bucks which is what stardom is all about!

How to Dial a Rotary Telephone

How to Dial a Rotary Telephone

A whole new world

I am choosing to rewrite what was a jumbled mess of thoughts. Modern technology is a serious problem for people in my age group. I grew up using a dial phone. I can remember the old time phones that were wall phones as one took up the ear piece and spoke into the mouthpiece. I still like those old style phones.

So today we have to struggle with cell phones. I believe every young person is unable to know why we old folks can stay away from phones for long periods of time, as it seems to me that every person on the block today has to have his ear bent to the cell phone. I find that so ridiculous at times as to be truly annoying and aggravating.

Can't any of these young people spend time with themselves alone for ten minutes without having to talk to someone on a phone?

Learning to like one's self is probably the single most important thing that a person can do. I dare say that most of the population today cannot spend time alone by one's self for longer than an hour at the most. They don't give themselves a chance at all.

They just have to be yacking away at someone somewhere, and if not on the phone, then they go to the social networks where they have to "mouth" off as well.

I decided to eliminate the previous post because I was jumping from one topic to another too much.

If I put up a video of an old time phone, this post will explain why. That is, if I can find one!

first time on mobile phone

This may be the shortest entry. I have to say that David spicer's link tonight was so appropriate for my walk last evening. There is a picture of peter that was a perfect match for our swatch last night. When I saw that I recognized the reason for the streaks in the sky that some call chemtrails. I want to mention this now before I forget.

Settting up a Google Blogger Blog Part 1 of 2

Peter's Photos Blog is Missing

A great photoblog has come up missing, and nobody can understand why. Peter Olson's blogs on Paris which he has been writing for four years has suddenly disappeared, and he does not know why. I checked to see if I could find anything at his blogspot but all I find is a statement that this blog has been removed. I do not believe that he violated terms of service, but then I do not know exactly what all he has done but publish photos, great information in detail about Paris's intriguing hotspots, and maps which would help any tourist to find their way to his focused and detailed topic for the day. I really loved his blogspot and his was considered one of the best so that he was invited to the Ritz for a special feast and cooking experience. What the heck is this? Where is Peter's blog and will it reappear soon?

Thrones from Exhibition

I placed the video of the throne of Innocent X and the throne of Dagobert to recall this event. It is unlikely I will see it except for the videos. I love the throne of Dagobert. I will have to find where it is usually to be found on display as it is so choice. It looks like it is both heartshaped and also looks like a crown from one angle. It is truly a great chair!

Japanese earthquake

The aftermath of the earthquake which was felt in Japan is that people are now complaining that youtube videos are being suppressed by the government so that I decided to place at least one video which leads one to a variety of others. Most are by Russia Today and I do not know for sure if there is government suppression now in Japan or not. But ATS was complaining about it as they showed a video of someone who was complaining about the television there failing to give them adequate information for those who are stuck in Japan and cannot get out.

I remember when Mt. Helens erupted, and the ash went round the world. There have been violent explosions at the nuclear reactor sites in Japan and there is little doubt that some radiation will get out and reach other parts of the world as well. Apparently, there is a run on potassium Iodide in several parts of the USA including Michigan. The side effects are such that it can be dangerous to take if not understood properly. The fact that shelves are nearly empty of this product proves why the government suppresses information. Officials know that people will panic which is exactly what is happening. People are even buying geiger counters I heard on the news last night. That is totally unnecessary at this time, but nobody trusts anyone anymore so they take matters into their own hands.

I am 72 years old, and have faced the fact that after 50 anyone can die at a moment's notice, so it is only for the infants and children of the world that one should truly care about their future to protect them from radiation as much as is possible. The rest of us are truly expendable.

I have found that short blogs may be read more easily than long ones..

Bing Crosby "The Second Time Around"

Mistress of the Sun by Sandra Gulland

I have finally finished reading Sandra Gulland's book Mistress of the Sun for the second time round. One thing I learned is that books can be re-edited and re-published because the second book proves to me that some revisions had been made from the first book that I had read. That surprised me, but I am happy that the revisions were made as it makes this book a classic, and a wonderful read.

Sandra has written a beautiful and magnificent tribute to the first mistress of the Sun King Louis XIV. I am writing this review before I write the one for the discussion group, because I want to explain some things here for my own needs.

First of all, I had no idea of who Louis XIV had been when I first learned of his presence in France. I had gone to the local libraries and my inner solar plexus is why I kept returning to the Nancy Mitford book about the SunKing and eventually decided to read it. I pulled off other books on French kings as a whole at the Phoenix library branch, but it was at the Civic Center Main library in Scottsdale, AZ, where I found the first of many books about the SunKing. Frankly, my first impressions of all the kings was that they are all a bit pompous assed and a bit fussy but that is the lifestyle of a king. Little did I realize I might be a bit indifferent to myself.

So I had read probably one general book about the kings of France and one specific book about Louis XIV, mostly looking at portraits and illustrations more than reading the copy yet.

Because I was also tuned in to a local television show which emanated from the local two year college branch in Scottsdale, I was able to pick up France2 and France Vision from that local network. I sat and watched French news trying to see if I could improve upon my college effort to learn to speak and read and write French. I was a total abysmal failure at it. Still am not proficient in the language skills of the French language by any means.

As the saying goes, if you don't really need it, don't bother with it.

However, because of the influence of France2 and France Vision, I did once upon a time decide to see if I could have lived in the past, and wanted to know who I had been. I had already in California many years earlier learned that I had been of all people in the world, George Washington. That was a hard dose for me to swallow and to believe, as George is an American icon, and how can one claim to be that self important, I ask you. But I did do an exploratory, visited everything in Virginia that I could during the late 70's, and eventually concluded that my spiritual senses had told me true, that I had been the late general, eventually first president of the USA. What an irony as when I was a child I had wanted to become the first female president. Little did I know that I had already been the president so in a sense I have achieved that status. Surprise! Surprise!

So when I went under hypnotic trance, and came up with the fact that I had also been Louis XIV, I was really in double shock bigtime. How on earth could I have been both? But I checked out everything that I could about Mt. Vernon to compare to the Chateau, studied the two scrupulously, and finally concluded, truth is stranger than fiction, and that it is a great possibility, or I have the keys to the kingdom to unlock into the histories of two great men. One door leads to another, and before you know it, I began to realize that not only had I been George and Louis, but also Alexander the Great...that really totally overwhelmed me. I had no great love or admiration for Alexander but I have learned enough about him now as I had George and Louis to write a book, so that I intend to finish that project nwo that I have begun it too. That led me to another truth opening, and that is that I had also been Genghis Khan. That stupefied me, made me want to learn no more, even though I had made myself learn who I had been first on the earth, and I learned of cromagnon man, hunter, and that led me to some other books. My shelves support books for all these historical entities, while I puzzle out how it is that a single soul can be all things to all people at a variety of times in life, and is now singled out in my person in this lifetime to know of all of them and to piece it all out and make it sane and sensible. It has taught me many lessons.

So on that note, I truly appreciated the fact that Sandra Gulland who had written a series of books about Josephine, first wife Napoleon Bonaparte, also took an interest in the Grand Siecle, and wrote a book on the subject of Louis XIV's first mistress Louise de la Valliere.

I can see the care and devotion that Sandra took with this book. She is an interesting woman to consider in her years spent studying and researching the life of a young woman who is an innocent, who is a true friend to the King, and who is subjected to the life of the "wanton" woman in the court.

Sandra shows a sincere and deep interest in not only Louise but also the King, and she writes a beautiful love story. She uses an extended metaphor that reveals itself at the finish of the book as she opens her story with the young Louise having to come to grips with the superstitions of the day regarding devils, angels, heaven, and hell, while befriending a terrified and frightened great White horse.

I believe that the theme of Sandra's story is that virtue in and of itself, while often a barrier to many who are ambitious and self-seeking, is a reward of peace of mind, self satisfaction, and eternal contentment, or happiness. Virtue causes Louise to examine herself, respect herself, and save herself finally, while saving the metaphor of herself as well, Diablo, the great White horse who cannot be contained by anyone.

I enjoyed Sandra's writing skills as she creates an image of the times in a way that one can smell the conflicting odors and fragrances of human waste, excrement,in the dank hallways and corridors, stinking garbage thrown into the river, excessive perfumes worn by superfluous women of the court, and glorious garden flowers and wildflowers in the forests and manicured gardens of the various courts and palaces.

She opens the story with a reference to a "wanton" woman who is being ridiculed and shamed in the stocks because of her adulterous behaviour. At first, one wonders why she is even mentioned, except to show that adultery is not tolerated amongst the peasants, and that women suffer while men get by with it. Later in the story, Louise remembers this woman when she is reviewing her own "sinfulness" in her own open adulterous behaviour with the King.

She realizes that she too is equal to that woman despite her so called "rank".

Upon the second reading, I fell into the story and became a part of it. When I read it the first time, I was so ensnared with its plot that I sat a full day reading it at Border's to see if I would want to own it. There were places in the book that I had found offensive. I had identified with King Louis XIV so much as I have spent so much time inside him in a spiritual way that he is a part of me, and whether people believe in reincarnation, or psychic unique talents, I do not care which, when one knows someone's inner being that well, proves that it is true, that the Versailles does exist today even as it did then, then I know all that my inner knowledge is true, not fallacy. So with that in mind, I was very careful to protect my own self as I think well of myself today, not being an angel either, but not a fallen devil either. Sandra made me think of an old boyfriend of mine in one of her descriptions of Louise as Roger had said that about me then too. While maybe not exactly a virgin, I have a virgin mind, probably a virgin soul. So it was all very interesting in that way.

I identified with Louise due to my meeting with Jimmy Carter who I had not been overwhelmed with except to realize that he is the president, and that he is a very intelligent man, far brighter than ever credited, and certainly probably far more reasonable than most would know.

But like Louise, I am not tempted by high and mighty positions, so I have always had a natural sympathy for her, and Mme. Maintenon as well, for not being impressed with power in government. I am more impressed with spiritual powers myself, as I have cultivated those in myself, and have both clairaudience and clairvoyance. Those mean more to me than do self seeking high positions in life.

Sandra's version of Louise is quite fascinating to consider who Sandra Gulland really is, in her temperament, her imagination, her insights, and her needs. She clearly loves her topic, her subject matter, and she has the knack of writing prose and imagery that allows a reader like myself (compulsive) to read it through to the finish. I enjoyed it better second time round I admit, but I was compelled to read it to the finish the first time to learn how she would treat this subject matter about which I have become so involved.

I admit I was defensive, as I am very sensitive even yet about the status of the king, his personal life, his weaknesses, his ambitions, his goals, his inner soul which as I have already said is that of so many men before him who have had to likewise gain control and dominion over the face of the earth, bringing people together under rule, eventually always preparing for the days when the earth is truly of one mind and one harmony.

This has been a great spiritual journey for me. Surprisingly, using stimulus/response, I found a passage while reading Sandra's book that recalled a memory of two women in Genghis Khan's life. I realized then that Louise and Athenais had been those two women who I had seen so vividly in the life of the great Mongol Khan.

That made me think as I have also learned through spiritual means that Francois d'Aubigne had also been Borte, Khan's first wife, his childhood bride, who had he to become betrothed too when just a child. It all made sense to me when I thought of it. It is much easier to see these things after years, but it all takes time. Relating it to today and the persons involved today is another thing altogether. We are related to one another in many ways. I just know that many people are frightened to believe in my spiritual gleanings, while others are fascinated with them.

So as the saying goes, please all and you please none.

Mistress of the Sun is a wonderful read. I do see that two parts of the book which I had questioned have been re-edited, and I prefer the book I have in my hand to the one I read at Border's. But it also taught me that had I bought the first, I would have the two to compare side by side. This paperback edition is cleaned up so to speak, making me think of Caroline at the Word Processing group in Michigan. It is a great and wonderful book in this latest form, and I did not find it offensive at all.

Yes, I did not like that Sandra had the King call Louise a "whore" in a taunting way, accusing her, making him look like a fool. I know that type of man, and have met many like that. Calling Louise a "devil" to her face did surprise me at the kind of character she was creating the king to be. Men like women to be whores, but if something goes wrong, it angers me when they make the woman the victim. That was an author's creation. Nobody knows that Louis ever did say such a thing to Louise, but a story is often quoted about his being rude to her on his way to see Athenais, when he threw a dog called Malice at her. How that story came to be, I don't really know.

Sandra did reach my emotional well several times. I found myself tearing up a bit at times, especially the scenes between Louise, her mother, and then later, her own children. The book is a tearjerker in many ways, but Louise finds fit to redeem herself, finds a friend in a parish priest, and has learned that the King's confessors help him to acknowledge his own weaknesses and understand them. The authoress attempts to paint the King as a decent man after all.

Now from my perspective, because both Alexander and Genghis Khan both had had multiple wives and mistresses, it would only be natural for Louis XIV to have a normal and natural propensity to have to meet up with these women again in his role as King. Birthright is everything, and rebirthing is everything, bringing the same families and friends back together again repeatedly and repeatedly. I have learned that while nature reinvents itself and reproduces itself in the same manner over and over again, so does spiritual life relive and replay some vignettes over and over again and again.

Summing it all up, I am confident that before too very long, I will have my own book on Alexander concluded, published (whether with a publishing company or self publishing, it will be published), and then I will take up another effort to write another book maybe on the SunKing too. He lives within me. I know him very well. To me, Louise de la Valliere is a great example of a good girl whose conscience would not let her suffer any longer the indignities hoisted upon the "wanton" woman.

I loved the ending and conclusion of the book, the symbolism of Diablo, and the way in which Louise freed both her childhood love, the great White, and herself. I deplore the fact that her only choice was that of the Carmelite monastery as I felt it too great a form of self inflicted punishment. But Sandra Gulland makes it sound appealing, safe, and secure. I, too, have studied the life of Carmelite nuns. I am for a healthier attitude towards love of God, expression of that love, and working with the community.

God bless Sandra Gulland for writing a beautiful story. She will always be happy for her own creation. She gave Louise a great tribute, and as such, is a testimony to her own goodness.

Japan hit with 8.9 earthquake 8 days before Full Moon

A story was on facebook about the coming full moon and its effect on natural disasters, as both earthquakes and hurricanes can be associated with previous full moons. This is supposed to be the largest full moon as it is the closest to the earth since several years back, 92 or something like that...don't remember exactly as of this writing, but at any rate, it has always seemed to trigger a natural disaster. So I had made a comment that most likely an earthquake would happen after I read the story and saw the connections. So sure enough, last night I read on Twitter that an earthquake had hit Japan, but forgot about it until this morning when I got online to see that an 8.9 earthquake had struck the nation. The Tsunami effect has been devastating to the islands and even to North America as it has reached Crescent City, California, where it destroyed boats in a harbor there.

We can only pray and hope that the Japanese respond in a way that prevents further disaster, saves lives, and brings the nation back to its feet. The rest of the world will have to wait to see if and when another hits soon.

These are the times that many have prophesied, and we are witnessing many unusually horrific events in our lifetime. Always remember the thought " And this too shall pass".

God be with all the Japanese, both deceased and alive, pray for them all.

Videos from Chateau du Versailles

I have subscribed to the videos from the Chateau so that I see fit to post those that I want to spotlight here at this blogger. It will take a lot of time before I finally get all this accomplished, but I have begun. So far, this blogspot is mostly events that take place accompanied with a video. I bought a book called google-pedia so that I can utilize the services of Google better. I am getting an idea now what google is really about. If they can help me to increase my income, I will try it. Iunderstand that google is about nothing but advertising. Ads do pay well.

Sudden rash of videos

At the TudorTalk group, we became enmeshed in gossip and some of the dirt being dished about Camilla and Kate Middleton. I read in one of the two gossip mags, Globe, or National Enquirer, that Camilla did not want Paul McCartney invited to the wedding, but that Kate loves the Beatles. The reason that this gossip mag gave is that the Saturday Night Live skit that joked about Camilla and Charles offended her. I put it here so that I would know what the skit had been that had made her angry at him. When I saw it, I saw that the gossip mag got it wrong. It would hardly have made her angry but might have made her like him better. So that is my reason for posting here. My take on this situation.

The suicide thing is a parody of what Camilla said when Diana attempted suicide, not Camilla.

Wow! If I learned anything it is how many people hate Camilla. It is not fun being a public figure in today's world.

And I have people hating me just because I discuss my views of going back in time to see whoever when I am back there...Ouch!
